Christine Oien

Christine Oien is the Director of Youth Ministry starting late July 2010. She enjoys spending time with our Awesome God and with teens! Christine grew up out in the country in Isanti, Minnesota where she lived 15 minutes out of town and drove a Chevy truck. Since graduating from high school, she has lived in Duluth, MN. In Duluth she attended St. Scholastica where she got her degree in elementary education.

She has worked in youth ministry since March 2006 and has loved it. There is nothing more amazing then watching people commit their lives to Christ, and then watching them grow in their faith. She is excited to be a part of that at St. Peters UMC! Christine met Paul Oien in an interdenominational high school church choir, and a few years later they were married. Paul is going to PBA pharmacy school starting fall 2010. They decided it was time to live somewhere a little bit warmer than Duluth, so Florida was chosen!

Christine loves working out, hanging out with her husband and their awesome dog Spike, walking with God, and eating good Mexican food.
