Following is the most recent letter from Lorraine
Enright. To reiterate, Ken, her husband, died several
months ago and chose to be buried in Zambia where
his heart lay.

Dear Family and Friends: Spring 2008
Today I got the most wonderful Christmas present.
My son John called from Zambia. He
had good news about Jack, the 14 year old blind
boy, who received his sight when the doctor
operated on his eyes. We were able to put him
in an all-English speaking school this past
fall.
He is doing well. He was tall for his age and
older boys liked to bully him.
After 6 months of tutoring in Bemba, he was
able to read just
before I left Zambia in August. As we prayed
together, we asked God to help him not to fight
when he was picked on. God did just that. Please
keep praying for him. It was a joy to have Family
Camp over Thanksgiving. All of my children were
there except Ken's family, who live in the Urbana,
Illinois area. Other families joined us also
and we were able to meet at the beautiful Leesburg
United Methodist Camp. Needless to say, we missed
my husband Ken. We had two other grandchildren
missing, too. One was Brian, John and Kendra's
son, who was planting bananas in Zambia and
couldn’t leave.
The other, Kendra, Dick and Elaine's daughter,
is now serving as a short term teacher in China.
When the grandchildren are together, it is always
a joy.- Our new building at Kafakumba training
center has recently been finished, and we have
been given special playground equipment for
the children. We will be able to use wood chips
from the carpenter shop as mulch for the ground
surrounding it. Everyone is looking forward
to the joy that it will bring to the children
to have playground equipment. We give thanks
to God that you have made possible two new school
rooms for "God's Kids." We had 80
Pastors' children at Pastors' school. We put
ages 2-5 in one room and 6-12 in another room.
These children make the decision to follow Christ
at an early age. Each day, they memorize verses,
sing songs, eat a snack, and learn stories about
the Bible and the wonderful things God still
does each and every day.
We
thank everyone who makes God's work a 'go' in
this troubled world. May this New Year draw
us all closer to our Savior. Please pray for
me as I return to Zambia the last of February.
God still has work for me to do, lives to touch
and minds to heal with the women and children
out in Zambia.
Love and Prayers,
• Please remember to pray for God's work
in Congo and Zambia
• Over 100 pastors from a number of countries
come to be trained each year. It is an 8 year
course in order to graduate! Each of the pastors
receives food, lodging,
transportation, visa and school materials which
averages $500.00 per pastor. Please pray that
God provides for this need.
• God's Kids Clubs - this is a growing
work with the children who need discipleship.
• Woodworking shop - on of the many growing
industries at Kafakumba Training Center.
• Agricultural Ventures - Aloe, Bananas,
Macadamia Nuts, Fish Ponds
