THE PURPOSE OF UNITED METHODIST WOMEN:
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a
community of women whose purpose
is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons
through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supporting
fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation
in the global ministries of the Church.
Events take place during the months
of August through May and include business meetings,
fund raisers, a game night, a luncheon and fashion
show, and the Mother/Daughter Brunch. Moneys raised
are designated for missions and the UMW’s district
and national divisions.
Current board
members are: Susan Castillo,
president (439-6451);
LaDona Alvarez, vice president; Shelley Albright, secretary;
and Nancy Jones, treasurer.
St. Peter’s United Methodist
Women have two active sub-groups. The ladies of the church
are encouraged to choose one and become involved.
